How did you two come together to start your Montreal-based custom-jewelry line?

Mass production is not unique. Our fine jewelry pieces speak for themselves, and we can create just about anything!"
How would you describe your design aesthetic?
"Our designs are artistic and glamourous. We focus mainly on this aspect when creating our pieces. We want our jewels to stand out and be exquisite."

Beauty products are like wine—not in the they-get-better-with-age sort of way (seriously, most beauty products have a max shelf life of one year), but as with any bottle of vino, a higher price doesn’t always mean a better buy. Although you're based in Istanbul, you visit Montreal regularly. What is it about this city that keeps you coming back?
"Montreal has always offered me a sense of comfort, warmth, and freedom. Being here nourishes my soul—the charm of the city, its friendly faces, the enduring friendships, and, of course, the liberating nature that encompasses it."
Tell us about your eponymous jewerly line.
"Mira Sadi Jewels is comprised of handmade sterling silver and
24-karat gold-plated designs that are each unique in their compilation of semi-precious stones and pearls. They’re made in limited quantity in order to adhere to its culture of individuality and self-expression. I launched the line in April 2012, and it’s now present in more than 10 countries across the world and within well-renowned names such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Harvey Nichols."
You launched the line a little more than a year ago. What motivated you to make the jump into jewelry design?
